Spectators: 7698 (Terracing: 5775, Seating: 1770, VIP seats: 153) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Frits Beuneker took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 3rd match minute, De Pelgrims was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Frits Beuneker to maneuver through the defense. In the 4th minute of the match Slawomir Sikola shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Hendrik Adriaanse showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Hendrik Adriaanse showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andrzej Filipowski, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. In the 7th minute, Olaf Plaggenborg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Slawomir Sikola hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. De Pelgrims were furious when Ferdi van der Schaaf was red carded, 14 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. The supporters of Karpaty Krosno booed when De Pelgrims was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ferdi van der Schaaf didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hendrik Adriaanse stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Waldemar Prusek's shot from short distance in the 16th minute. The corner led Karpaty Krosno's Dariusz Perkowski to a score. 0-1 in the 18th minute. Hendrik Adriaanse took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Waldemar Prusek, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Karpaty Krosno defense, Godfried Robben kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Wasyl Sidorowicz. The Karpaty Krosno fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Wasyl Sidorowicz should have stopped the shot. Frits Beuneker could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Wasyl Sidorowicz made a huge save. Godfried Robben came free with the goalkeeper in the 46th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Wasyl Sidorowicz could save by the left post. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Andrzej Filipowski stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Karpaty Krosno's Wasyl Sidorowicz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frits Beuneker in the 53rd minute of play. With a little luck, De Pelgrims's Hendrik Adriaanse got control of the ball when Andrzej Filipowski tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, De Pelgrims's Frits Beuneker got a free kick in the 57th minute. Kristian Roswinkel might have been able to make a better finish in the 65th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Wasyl Sidorowicz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Kristian Roswinkel ran back to his position shaking his head. 67 minutes into the game, Olaf Plaggenborg was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. De Pelgrims's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Karpaty Krosno the free kick. Olaf Plaggenborg hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. Kristian Roswinkel's late challenge caught a Karpaty Krosno's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kristian Roswinkel helped the player get up and apologised. After 71 played minutes De Pelgrims got a freekick which was hit by Kristian Roswinkel. Menno Bodde kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, De Pelgrims's Fabiën Buskermolen got a free kick in the 84th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Fabiën Buskermolen managed to get in a good position for a shot. De Pelgrims's supporters rose to their feet, but Fabiën Buskermolen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Wasyl Sidorowicz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 92nd minute, Mikolaj Pinczewski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Wasyl Sidorowicz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frits Beuneker in the 93rd minute of play. In the 95th minute Dariusz Perkowski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hendrik Adriaanse saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Karpaty Krosno were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
