Israel Contreras made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. With a little luck, Rockets's Geraldo Queiroz got control of the ball when Fabio Pacheco tried to sneak it across the goal line. Israel Contreras took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dudu Madureira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Rockets booed when OROTINENSE was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gabriel Duran didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Gabriel Duran came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the OROTINENSE fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gabriel Duran couldn't finish the play. After some careless play in the OROTINENSE defense, Edu Mangueira kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Israel Contreras. The OROTINENSE fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Israel Contreras should have stopped the shot. In the 29thth minute of the game Dudu Madureira who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but OROTINENSE's Israel Contreras was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Lino Soeiro's late challenge caught a OROTINENSE's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lino Soeiro helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Rockets's Lino Soeiro got a free kick in the 35th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gabriel Duran during the 45th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. OROTINENSE's Israel Contreras played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joélson Melo in the 53rd minute of play. Luiz Eduardo Pimenta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Israel Contreras having to interfere. If Fabio Pacheco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Fabio Pacheco came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the OROTINENSE fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fabio Pacheco couldn't finish the play. Luiz Eduardo Pimenta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Israel Contreras tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 69 minutes into the match, OROTINENSE's goal looked a bit too open when Joélson Melo came free, but Israel Contreras reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Israel Contreras made a fantastic save in the 71st minute, when Dudu Madureira sent off a good shot on target. Rodrigo Oviedo's late challenge caught a Rockets's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dudu Madureira could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 83rd minute of the match, but Israel Contreras made a huge save. When the match clock showed 88 minutes, the score became 0-4 when Dudu Madureira sped through OROTINENSE's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Israel Contreras. Israel Contreras showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edu Mangueira, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. The Rockets supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Rockets would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
