Anthony Shields breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Brown Puerto Madryn's Cecilio Panpili played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Phil Craft in the 12th minute of play. In the 14th minute of the match American Airlines got a corner. Brown Puerto Madryn's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Alistair Heller ran over to the corner to take the kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Melquiades Celino during the 15th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 15 played minutes Brown Puerto Madryn got a freekick which was hit by Melquiades Celino. Titus Guillory kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. American Airlines's Anthony Shields proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save American Airlines from getting a goal against them. Cecilio Panpili took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Titus Guillory, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. American Airlines's Sebastian Carrington got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 32 minutes into the game, Brown Puerto Madryn's Abelardo Oidor nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Anthony Shields made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. After a defensive mix-up in American Airlines's zone, Luciano Llorian stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Anthony Shields came out of the goal and Luciano Llorian tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Luciano Llorian sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 45 minutes into the game, Sebastian Carrington was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. American Airlines's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Brown Puerto Madryn the free kick. Sebastian Carrington kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. American Airlines's Anthony Shields played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abelardo Oidor in the 47th minute of play.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Abelardo Oidor was the one to do the kick off.
