Albertinho Perez blasted a shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Eddie Bergström having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mauro Mattos in the 12th minute of play forced Hawk Tuah FC's goalkeeper Eddie Bergström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Grêmio Prudente's Oséas Fontes got a free kick in the 14th minute. Thiago Couto was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Ingvar Kleen. If Ralf Thedin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 25th minute, Guto Lucas made a precise shot to the right of Eddie Bergström. Hawk Tuah FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. The Grêmio Prudente fans' excitement grew in the 30th match minute when Grêmio Prudente's Albertinho Perez looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 34th minute Svante Käller shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thiago Couto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Svante Käller in the 34th minute of play forced Grêmio Prudente's goalkeeper Thiago Couto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 38th minute of the match, Svante Käller tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Thiago Couto saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 44 minutes into the match, Hawk Tuah FC's Svante Käller sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Thiago Couto narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After having played for 45 minutes, Ralf Thedin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hawk Tuah FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ralf Thedin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 46th match minute, Hawk Tuah FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leif Västlund to maneuver through the defense. After the first half Grêmio Prudente were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Albertinho Perez to strike the kick off in the second half. Thiago Couto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gunnar Löfgren, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Ingvar Kleen made a great header on Hawk Tuah FC's corner, it was just that Grêmio Prudente's Thiago Couto managed to reach the ball for a save. Eddie Bergström came out of the goal in the 60th minute to try and stop a shot by Grêmio Prudente's Albertinho Perez. But to his dismay, Albertinho Perez quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. After a rather tough play, Grêmio Prudente's Orlando de Castro got a free kick in the 72nd minute. 73 minutes into the game, Gunnar Löfgren was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Hawk Tuah FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Grêmio Prudente the free kick. After 73 played minutes Hawk Tuah FC got a freekick which was hit by Gunnar Löfgren. Guto Lucas hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. In the 79th minute, Oséas Fontes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eddie Bergström made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mauro Mattos in the 81st minute. Eddie Bergström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Albertinho Perez in the 85th minute of the match. Eddie Bergström was a little too slow when Guto Lucas got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 92nd minute. The score was now 0-5. Guto Lucas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Grêmio Prudente had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
