Spectators: 7693 (Terracing: 5771, Seating: 1769, VIP seats: 153) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Albertinho Perez started the match with the kick off. In the 4th minute, Monte Ledbetter hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Guto Lucas during the 5th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 5th minute, Guto Lucas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thiago Couto came out of the goal in the 6th minute to try and stop a shot by Sport Lisboa e Benfica's Monte Ledbetter. But to his dismay, Monte Ledbetter quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. When Orlando de Castro fell near the penalty area in the 15th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Grêmio Prudente's protests and gave Orlando de Castro a yellow card for diving instead. Orlando de Castro hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Grêmio Prudente's Guto Lucas got a free kick in the 16th minute. Grêmio Prudente's Thiago Couto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Antonia Webb in the 17th minute of play. After 18 minutes, Afonsinho de Amaral mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Grêmio Prudente and the Sport Lisboa e Benfica players grew even worse after the yellow card. Afonsinho de Amaral hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. In the 23rd minute, Malcolm MacDonald hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 24 minutes, Baptiste Beck managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sport Lisboa e Benfica's supporters crossed their fingers, but Baptiste Beck was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 31 minutes into the game, Vito Prestes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Grêmio Prudente's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sport Lisboa e Benfica the free kick. In the 31st minute, Vito Prestes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Irving Dennis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guto Lucas in the 33rd minute of play. Monte Ledbetter hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. Sport Lisboa e Benfica's defense didn't have a chance, in the 39th minute, when Albertinho Perez scored to the left of an out of position Irving Dennis, making the score, 1-1. After having played for 42 minutes, Guto Lucas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Grêmio Prudente's supporters crossed their fingers, but Guto Lucas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Antonia Webb stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Sport Lisboa e Benfica's Irving Dennis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Albertinho Perez in the 59th minute of play. Thiago Couto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Antonia Webb, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hélder Tinoco kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. Grêmio Prudente's Thiago Couto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Antonia Webb in the 69th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Wilfred Fleming during the 70th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 70th minute, Wilfred Fleming hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mauro Mattos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 73rd match minute, Grêmio Prudente was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Albertinho Perez to maneuver through the defense. Antonia Webb fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Thiago Couto having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Antonia Webb got free with Thiago Couto in the 77th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Antonia Webb hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. If Albertinho Perez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Albertinho Perez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Irving Dennis having to interfere. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
