The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Edmund Olszewski the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Victoria Września protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Edmund Olszewski had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 45th minute there was a penalty for Muget. Mugur Popescu stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Julian Scigan. 0-3. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The supporters of Victoria Września booed when Muget was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ion Zamfir didn't get a good kick on the ball.
