Carrapichel - FDFDF's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Carrapichel - FDFDF's Doni Botelho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by János Oltean in the 41st minute of play. 42 minutes into the match, Carrapichel - FDFDF's goal looked a bit too open when János Oltean came free, but Doni Botelho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Iurie Mutu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hamílton Moraes in the 47th minute. The Carrapichel - FDFDF players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Academia Rio were winning 0-3.

A collision led to Carrapichel - FDFDF getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Natã Mesquita hit a great ball. Doni Botelho was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Sever Vintilescu showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-4 in the 74 minute of play. Paul Cucu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 82nd minute of the match, but Doni Botelho made a huge save. Marian Ozon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.
