In the 4th minute, Horia Berceanu sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and F.C internazionale's Aras Görkem Akoğlu didn't even have to move. When Paul Cucu fell near the penalty area in the 12th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Academia Rio's protests and gave Paul Cucu a yellow card for diving instead. Paul Cucu hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. In the 18th minute, János Oltean ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Aras Görkem Akoğlu was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Iurie Mutu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Uğuralp Pamiroğlu in the 23rd minute of play. F.C internazionale's Bilal Tükelay got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 29thth minute of the game Sever Vintilescu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but F.C internazionale's Aras Görkem Akoğlu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Abdullah Eryaman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Uğuralp Pamiroğlu in the 42nd minute of play forced Academia Rio's goalkeeper Iurie Mutu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Sever Vintilescu to strike the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Academia Rio's János Oltean sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Aras Görkem Akoğlu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Mehmet Edip Uğurcan's late challenge caught a Academia Rio's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. In the 77th minute, Academia Rio's János Oltean dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-2. Tiberiu Blaga's late challenge caught a F.C internazionale's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tiberiu Blaga helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Academia Rio's Tiberiu Blaga got a free kick in the 85th minute. In the 87th minute, Emin Kuray hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 90 played minutes Academia Rio got a freekick which was hit by Tiberiu Blaga. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Marian Ozon managed to get in a good position for a shot. Academia Rio's supporters rose to their feet, but Marian Ozon was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aras Görkem Akoğlu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Academia Rio had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
