Spectators: 7693 (Terracing: 5771, Seating: 1769, VIP seats: 153) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Zula Scislowicz took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 3rd minute, Ryszard Patrylo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 10th minute of the match, Gogo Oskitz tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Zbyszko Duda saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After 10 played minutes Purple Shadows got a freekick which was hit by Dobromir Fafinski. 13 minutes into the game, Tymoteusz Skirzynski was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Purple Shadows's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave The Old Boys the free kick. Tymoteusz Skirzynski kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. 15 minutes into the match, Saverio Bautista dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Zbyszko Duda, 1-0. After a defensive mix-up in The Old Boys's zone, Pawel Pieprz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vicente Nesto came out of the goal and Pawel Pieprz tried to chip the ball over his head. The Old Boys's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Zbyszko Duda came out of the goal and Saverio Bautista tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 27 minutes of play Purple Shadows's Tymoteusz Skirzynski was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Generoso Koldobika got in the 29th minute the ball and tried a long shot which scored to the left of Zbyszko Duda and thus it was 2-0. After a rather tough play, Purple Shadows's Ryszard Patrylo got a free kick in the 41st minute. After a rather tough play, The Old Boys's Generoso Koldobika got a free kick in the 42nd minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Edgardo Bartoli stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Gogo Oskitz fell near the penalty area in the 54th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored The Old Boys's protests and gave Gogo Oskitz a yellow card for diving instead. Jedrzej Miodek charged in rather forcefully in the 59th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jedrzej Miodek the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 59 played minutes Purple Shadows got a freekick which was hit by Jedrzej Miodek. Zula Scislowicz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Purple Shadows getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Zbyszek Bronkala hit a great ball. The Old Boys's Vicente Nesto proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 71st minute of the match, managed to save The Old Boys from getting a goal against them. When Joaquin Mingo fell near the penalty area in the 72nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored The Old Boys's protests and gave Joaquin Mingo a yellow card for diving instead. In the 72nd minute, Joaquin Mingo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Purple Shadows's Zula Scislowicz got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Zbyszko Duda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edgardo Bartoli in the 74th minute of the match. In the 79th match minute, Purple Shadows was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jedrzej Miodek to maneuver through the defense. Joaquin Mingo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Zbyszko Duda tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Zbyszko Duda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edgardo Bartoli in the 84th minute of play. Zula Scislowicz in the 89thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Vicente Nesto, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Gogo Oskitz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zbyszko Duda having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Edgardo Bartoli in the 96th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Zbyszko Duda prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Purple Shadows's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
