In the 36th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sacro Balompié's goalkeeper Aaron Bernad, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 39 minutes into the match, Oihan Villaelrriego had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Aaron Bernad. The coaching staff of Alianza Trujillo protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Mario Verdeja had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 87th minute, Mario Verdeja hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sacro Balompié's Gaudencio Medero shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 88th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Alianza Trujillo had won after a very even match.
