Alianza Trujillo's Oihan Villaelrriego got a good chance for a goal in the 3rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 15th minute The Old Boys were awarded a corner. Nereo Medardo went to the cornerflag to take it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Oihan Villaelrriego in the 18th minute of play forced The Old Boys's goalkeeper Candido Buinton to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gar Ligero missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 20 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Candido Buinton right hand side. 24 minutes into the match, Alianza Trujillo's goal looked a bit too open when Nereo Medardo came free, but Solustiano Ameyugo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 25th minute, Angelo Meder hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gogo Oskitz struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Solustiano Ameyugo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for The Old Boys. After having played for 34 minutes, Saverio Bautista managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. The Old Boys's supporters crossed their fingers, but Saverio Bautista was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 42nd minute, one of The Old Boys:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for The Old Boys. Candido Buinton had in the 43rdth minute some difficulties stopping Turi Sendin's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Candido Buinton took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Oihan Villaelrriego, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Euloxu Seoane stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Candido Buinton showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Euloxu Seoane in the 54th minute of the match. In the 56th minute, Henrique Tordesillas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Angelo Meder recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Candido Buinton made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Turi Sendin in the 64th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nereo Medardo in the 66th minute of play forced Alianza Trujillo's goalkeeper Solustiano Ameyugo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Solustiano Ameyugo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nereo Medardo, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. Solustiano Ameyugo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nereo Medardo in the 70th minute of the match. Saverio Bautista sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 78th minute Turi Sendin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Candido Buinton saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Angelo Meder during the 90th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 90 played minutes The Old Boys got a freekick which was hit by Angelo Meder. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Baldomiro Hurtado managed to get in a good position for a shot. Alianza Trujillo's supporters rose to their feet, but Baldomiro Hurtado was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Candido Buinton breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. For all the effort they put into the match, the Alianza Trujillo players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for The Old Boys.
