After 5 minutes, Orlando Fanuco mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Vaqueteros FC and the AC Civetta Notturna players grew even worse after the yellow card. Dario Suarez's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alvaro Zaccardi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 22nd minute of play. Romeo Dorio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anthony Di Muzio in the 31st minute of play. In the 33rd minute, Ernesto Claris reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Alvaro Zaccardi. The goal made the score 1-0. In the 41st minute, Ernesto Claris hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Vaqueteros FC's Honorio Tono got a free kick in the 45th minute. Vaqueteros FC's Romeo Dorio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anthony Di Muzio in the 46th minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Anthony Di Muzio to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Anthony Di Muzio reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Romeo Dorio. The goal made the score 1-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Anthony Di Muzio in the 59th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Romeo Dorio saved Vaqueteros FC from getting behind. Domenico Allegretti could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 60th minute of the match, but Romeo Dorio made a huge save. After 64 played minutes Vaqueteros FC got a freekick which was hit by Dario Suarez. 66 minutes into the game, AC Civetta Notturna's Domenico Allegretti nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Romeo Dorio made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cristiano Baresi during the 70th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Vaqueteros FC booed when AC Civetta Notturna was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristiano Baresi didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 71st minute of the match Abelardo Bortzaioriz shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Alvaro Zaccardi showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Alvaro Zaccardi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Orlando Fanuco's shot from short distance in the 72nd minute. In the 77th minute, Emiliano Puja got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 83rd minute, Anthony Di Muzio fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Romeo Dorio, passed just outside the right post. 87 minutes into the match, Vaqueteros FC's goal looked a bit too open when Felice Domina came free, but Romeo Dorio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The AC Civetta Notturna supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing AC Civetta Notturna would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
