After a rather tough play, Jardim América FC's Nico Rossi got a free kick in the 29th minute. Nico Rossi kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. When Reynaldo de Castro came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Jardim América FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Reynaldo de Castro couldn't finish the play. If Reynaldo de Castro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Prometeo Perpiñán got free with Perivaldo Torres in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 95th minute, Walmir Araújo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Prometeo Perpiñán fell near the penalty area in the 96th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Vodka Stars 1949's protests and gave Prometeo Perpiñán a yellow card for diving instead. Prometeo Perpiñán kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. The Jardim América FC players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
