In the 11th minute Reynaldo de Castro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but German Montoya saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 16th match minute, Jardim América FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nuno Neves to maneuver through the defense. German Montoya came out of the goal in the 25th minute to try and stop a shot by Jardim América FC's Tomás Mazza. But to his dismay, Tomás Mazza quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomás Mazza in the 30th minute of play forced GuateFortín's goalkeeper German Montoya to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 32nd minute, João Ceresso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. It was beautiful to see GuateFortín's Gabriel Brizuela in action when he in the 34th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! Chicão de Moraes hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. After recieving a nice pass, GuateFortín's Gabriel Brizuela tried to score from far away in the 37th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ricardo Mora in the 42nd minute of play forced Jardim América FC's goalkeeper Perivaldo Torres to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 46th minute, Christian Del Carmen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Juan Manuel Martínez made the kick off in the second half. After 50 played minutes Jardim América FC got a freekick which was hit by Vinícius Bertassi. A collision led to GuateFortín getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Ricardo Mora hit a great ball. The supporters of Jardim América FC booed when GuateFortín was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elias Talia didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by João Ceresso in the 56th minute of play forced GuateFortín's goalkeeper German Montoya to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Reynaldo de Castro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without German Montoya having to interfere. Jardim América FC's Nuno Neves quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Félix Santana, made in the 68th minute of the game. 70 minutes into the match, GuateFortín's goal looked a bit too open when Reynaldo de Castro came free, but German Montoya reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Tomás Mazza managed to get in a good position for a shot. Jardim América FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomás Mazza was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. German Montoya breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 73rd match minute, Jardim América FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nuno Neves to maneuver through the defense. When Chicão de Moraes fell near the penalty area in the 78th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Jardim América FC's protests and gave Chicão de Moraes a yellow card for diving instead. In the 78th minute, Chicão de Moraes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 85 minutes into the match, Jardim América FC's goal looked a bit too open when Juan Manuel Martínez came free, but Perivaldo Torres reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 85 minutes into the game, Juan Manuel Martínez cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Perivaldo Torres was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 90 minutes into the match, Jardim América FC's goal looked a bit too open when Juan Manuel Martínez came free, but Perivaldo Torres reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
