The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The crowd rose to their feet as Ballkam Sportsklubb's Tobias Lind slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Tadeusz Dubiel. That made the score 1-0 after 3 minutes of play. 7 minutes into the match, Benedykt Flis had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Balder Sundstrøm. Ballkam Sportsklubb's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Benedykt Flis was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Balder Sundstrøm took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benedykt Flis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kasper Flinta kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, A State Of Trance's Sylwester Kaczor got a free kick in the 16th minute. Ballkam Sportsklubb's Balder Sundstrøm played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benedykt Flis in the 19th minute of play. Sylwester Kaczor recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ingvar Mikkelsen's late challenge caught a A State Of Trance's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ingvar Mikkelsen helped the player get up and apologised. After 31 played minutes Ballkam Sportsklubb got a freekick which was hit by Ingvar Mikkelsen. 32 minutes into the match, Benedykt Flis had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Balder Sundstrøm. Ballkam Sportsklubb's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Benedykt Flis was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Balder Sundstrøm showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benedykt Flis, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. In the 39th minute Sylwester Kaczor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Balder Sundstrøm saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Benedykt Flis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, A State Of Trance's Iwan Dziuma got a free kick in the 46th minute. After the first half A State Of Trance were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

After 51 minutes, Olaf Piechocki mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the A State Of Trance and the Ballkam Sportsklubb players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ballkam Sportsklubb's Hans Nordskog was substituted for Olaf Laursen. Olaf Piechocki hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. A State Of Trance's Benedykt Flis got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 62nd minute, Benedykt Flis reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Balder Sundstrøm. The goal made the score 1-3. Tadeusz Dubiel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hans Nordskog in the 76th minute of the match. The supporters of A State Of Trance booed when Ballkam Sportsklubb was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. David Børresen didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Iwan Dziuma got free with Balder Sundstrøm in the 80th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Albert Albertsen struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Tadeusz Dubiel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ballkam Sportsklubb. In the 93rd minute of the match Ballkam Sportsklubb got a corner. A State Of Trance's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Christoffer Langnes ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner first didn't look so dangerous but when Albert Albertsen got the ball he succeeded in some way to get through the defenders to deliver a very hard score. Result 2-3. 94 minutes into the match.
