The supporters of Jardim América FC booed when istanbulls was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. İsmail Hakkı Mahşer didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Reynaldo de Castro in the 20th minute of play forced istanbulls's goalkeeper Hüsrev Can to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Metehan İrfan made in the 25th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Mazhar Kerimhan. Battal Cüneyt Zahir received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Perivaldo Torres didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ant Sabancı went, in the 37th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. istanbulls's Ant Sabancı got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Perivaldo Torres showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Battal Cüneyt Zahir in the 44th minute of the match. In the 45th match minute, Jardim América FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Walmir Araújo to maneuver through the defense. After the first half istanbulls were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ant Sabancı to strike the kick off in the second half. After having played for 51 minutes, Ziya Serkut managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. istanbulls's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ziya Serkut was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Hüsrev Can showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomás Mazza in the 53rd minute of the match. Metehan İrfan made in the 55th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Mazhar Kerimhan. Ziya Serkut's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Perivaldo Torres read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 58th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tomás Mazza during the 68th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 72nd minute Tomás Mazza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hüsrev Can saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ant Sabancı struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Perivaldo Torres didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for istanbulls. After a rather tough play, Jardim América FC's Moisés Sousa got a free kick in the 90th minute. If Battal Cüneyt Zahir had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
