Hüsmen Soyurgal kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. 22 minutes into the game, Levent Baş was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. istanbulls's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave ₡ösᴛᴀ ᴆᴇ ₿ᴀʀᴙɪĿ the free kick. In the 23rd minute of the match Alfonso Urbasa shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Hüsrev Can showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Samuel Cordareo in the 24th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hüsrev Can prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ramiro Gizon was a little too slow when Ant Sabancı got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 27th minute. The score was now 1-0. After 33 minutes of play istanbulls's Hüsmen Soyurgal was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. istanbulls's Hüsrev Can played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rodrigo Cugat in the 41st minute of play. Hüsrev Can took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rodrigo Cugat, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 46th minute, Rodrigo Cugat made a precise shot to the right of Hüsrev Can. istanbulls's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

₡ösᴛᴀ ᴆᴇ ₿ᴀʀᴙɪĿ's Gaston Haritz suffered a sore thigh after 52 minutes and couldn't finish the game. After 52 minutes, Ant Sabancı mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the istanbulls and the ₡ösᴛᴀ ᴆᴇ ₿ᴀʀᴙɪĿ players grew even worse after the yellow card. Hüsrev Can was out of position in the 55 minute of play, and Benedicto Galtero capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Benedicto Galtero really showed his touch with that goal: 1-3. In the 59th minute the ball was on its way in behind istanbulls's goalkeeper Hüsrev Can, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 71 minutes into the match, istanbulls's goal looked a bit too open when Rodrigo Cugat came free, but Hüsrev Can reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Samuel Cordareo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When ₡ösᴛᴀ ᴆᴇ ₿ᴀʀᴙɪĿ's Samuel Cordareo in the 77th minute got a chance for a shot 77th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. This resulted in a 1-4 score and a disappointed Hüsrev Can as he didn't even see the shot coming. Hüsrev Can showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rodrigo Cugat in the 81st minute of the match. After a rather tough play, istanbulls's Battal Cüneyt Zahir got a free kick in the 81st minute. Benedicto Galtero shot a long shot in the 82nd minute and a light blocked Hüsrev Can hadn't a chance when the ball went into goal on his right side. It was 1-5. After 87 minutes, Samuel Cordareo made it 1-6 with a short kick to the right side. istanbulls's Hüsrev Can tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Ildefonso Egoitz kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. In the 92nd minute, Ant Sabancı hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 93 minutes into the match, istanbulls's goal looked a bit too open when Rodrigo Cugat came free, but Hüsrev Can reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 93 played minutes istanbulls got a freekick which was hit by Levent Baş. With a little luck, istanbulls's Hüsrev Can got control of the ball when Rodrigo Cugat tried to sneak it across the goal line. Hüsrev Can showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Samuel Cordareo, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. ₡ösᴛᴀ ᴆᴇ ₿ᴀʀᴙɪĿ's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
