Guararapes's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave ǺŁвǺтяØƶ - ƒรCмƶ the free kick. In the 6th minute, one of Guararapes:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Guararapes. Benjamim Freitas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Luís Corrêa having to make a save. With a little luck, ǺŁвǺтяØƶ - ƒรCмƶ's Benny Courtois got control of the ball when Raúl de Amorim tried to sneak it across the goal line. Luís Corrêa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cléber Azevedo in the 24th minute of play. 29 minutes into the match, ǺŁвǺтяØƶ - ƒรCмƶ's goalkeeper Benny Courtois had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rogério Pimenta. The audience was convinced that Benjamim Freitas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Luís Corrêa was relentless in the 30th minute of the game. 33 minutes into the match, Guararapes's goal looked a bit too open when Benjamim Freitas came free, but Luís Corrêa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Benny Courtois took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aníbal Tavares, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 34th minute, Alessandro Cardozo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 43 played minutes Guararapes got a freekick which was hit by Murillo Ferreira. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cléber Azevedo in the 47th minute of play forced Guararapes's goalkeeper Luís Corrêa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Guararapes players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. ǺŁвǺтяØƶ - ƒรCмƶ were winning 0-1.

In the 51st minute Raúl de Amorim shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benny Courtois saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When ǺŁвǺтяØƶ - ƒรCмƶ's Benjamim Freitas in the 52nd minute got a chance for a shot 52nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Benny Courtois was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 76 played minutes Guararapes got a freekick which was hit by Tiago Gabriel Fernandez. Cléber Azevedo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Aníbal Tavares took the ball and in the 90 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Benny Courtois. Benny Courtois dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. For all the effort they put into the match, the ǺŁвǺтяØƶ - ƒรCмƶ players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Guararapes.
