With a couple of smart ball manuevers Radko Gutzalski in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Luís Corrêa saved Guararapes from getting behind. 20 minutes into the match, Guararapes's goal looked a bit too open when Temelko Tiholov came free, but Luís Corrêa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 23 minutes into the match, ПАРТИЗАН Червен бряг's goalkeeper Sasho Beslimov had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Conrado Leite. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nencho Hikov in the 25th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Luís Corrêa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some careless play in the Guararapes defense, Nencho Hikov kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Luís Corrêa. The Guararapes fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Luís Corrêa should have stopped the shot. Rogério Pimenta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Sasho Beslimov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Guararapes getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Célio Cosme hit a great ball. When Radko Gutzalski came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the ПАРТИЗАН Червен бряг fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Radko Gutzalski couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Guararapes's Telmo Valladares got a free kick in the 44th minute. 45 minutes into the match, Guararapes's goal looked a bit too open when Miho Matakiev came free, but Luís Corrêa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Radko Gutzalski made a kick off. After a rather tough play, ПАРТИЗАН Червен бряг's Miho Matakiev got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Guararapes's Elano Cavalcante was substituted for Aníbal Tavares. The supporters of ПАРТИЗАН Червен бряг booed when Guararapes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mauro Oliveira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Temelko Tiholov's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Luís Corrêa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 89th minute of play. Murillo Ferreira hit a great ball. With a little luck, Guararapes's Luís Corrêa got control of the ball when Nencho Hikov tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 97th minute of the match Elano Cavalcante sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Sasho Beslimov skillfully saved the ball. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
