An unexpectedly hard shot by Jan Hoven in the 34th minute of play forced Juventus PTM's goalkeeper Virgil Lixandru to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Virgil Lixandru made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nigel Willemse in the 35th minute of play. Bart Speelman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Juventus PTM getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Horaţiu Tinu hit a great ball. After 44 played minutes, FFC Merainies 03's Jan Hoven shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Virgil Lixandru came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in FFC Merainies 03 reached it. Virgil Lixandru took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bart Speelman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cornel Doman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nigel Willemse to make the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Ivan Şumălan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Juventus PTM's supporters rose to their feet, but Ivan Şumălan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fabrice Bemmel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Virgil Lixandru showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nigel Willemse, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. In the 95thth minute of the game Nigel Willemse who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Juventus PTM's Virgil Lixandru was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the match had gone on for 95 minutes, Nigel Willemse put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Virgil Lixandru. Juventus PTM's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
