Serge Dole kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. After 32 played minutes Royal PSG got a freekick which was hit by Serge Dole. Magallanes's Silvio Lastarria played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mathias Serieys in the 36th minute of play. A collision led to Magallanes getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Ariel Almeyda hit a great ball. Angelo Aracena's late challenge caught a Royal PSG's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Angelo Aracena helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Royal PSG booed when Magallanes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Angelo Aracena didn't get a good kick on the ball. Benoît Moutard hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. Silvio Lastarria took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mathias Serieys, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Noureddine Burgun stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Magallanes's Silvio Lastarria proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 52nd minute of the match, managed to save Magallanes from getting a goal against them. After 68th play minutes Noureddine Burgun shot 1-2, a short shot which went by Silvio Lastarria and just under the crossbar into goal. Magallanes's Ruesga Chadwick was substituted for Angelo Aracena. Herminio Quintero hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. 74 minutes into the match, Noureddine Burgun dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Silvio Lastarria, 1-3. After a rather tough play, Magallanes's Leopoldo Jacinto Herboso got a free kick in the 77th minute. Silvio Lastarria made an important save on a dangerous shot by Noureddine Burgun in the 78th minute. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Royal PSG had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
