An unexpectedly hard shot by Angelo Aracena in the 35th minute of play forced Hispania's goalkeeper Tobiasr Sainz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Leopoldo Jacinto Herboso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tobiasr Sainz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Angelo Aracena, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Tobiasr Sainz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ariel Almeyda went, in the 68th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. If Leopoldo Jacinto Herboso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Hispania booed when Magallanes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ariel Almeyda didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Hispania's Tobiasr Sainz got control of the ball when Ruesga Chadwick tried to sneak it across the goal line. Magallanes's Silvio Lastarria played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rigoberto Erosa in the 93rd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Magallanes's Ariel Almeyda got a free kick in the 94th minute. Magallanes's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
