The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 2 minutes into the match, Nilton Sanches dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Isidoro Vitin, 1-0. Isidoro Vitin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nilton Sanches, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Isidoro Vitin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nilton Sanches in the 8th minute. Victor Pinto was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 10 minutes into the match. In the 10th minute, one of Firmat Foot Ball Club:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Firmat Foot Ball Club. Zé Pedro de Queirós showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from German Seme in the 20th minute of the match. Albano Eriz hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. When the match had been going on for 23 minutes Nilton Sanches shot a great shot from long distance. It looked like a certain goal, but the audience witnessed a really smashing save by Isidoro Vitin when he caught the ball only just under the crossbar. In the 28th match minute, Firmat Foot Ball Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Julio Clis to maneuver through the defense. Hélder Almeida might have been able to make a better finish in the 29th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Isidoro Vitin. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Hélder Almeida ran back to his position shaking his head. The supporters of Firmat Foot Ball Club booed when America Futebol Clube SP was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Evaristo de Queirós didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nilton Sanches took the ball and in the 33 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Isidoro Vitin. Isidoro Vitin dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. Dráusio Souza recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 44th minute German Seme shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zé Pedro de Queirós saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 46 minutes into the match, Nilton Sanches had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Isidoro Vitin. Firmat Foot Ball Club's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Nilton Sanches was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nilton Sanches made a kick off. 53 minutes into the game, America Futebol Clube SP's Nilton Sanches nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Isidoro Vitin made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0. Zé Pedro de Queirós showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from German Seme in the 56th minute of the match. Nilton Sanches fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Isidoro Vitin having to interfere. Humberto Corderall could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but Zé Pedro de Queirós made a huge save. Isidoro Vitin stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dorian Siqueira's shot from short distance in the 63rd minute. With a little luck, America Futebol Clube SP's Zé Pedro de Queirós got control of the ball when German Seme tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Julio Clis got free with Zé Pedro de Queirós in the 68th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A hard shot 70 in the game by German Seme from a close distance when the talented Zé Pedro de Queirós managed to make a qualified save. America Futebol Clube SP's players were relieved. With an all-out effort, Firmat Foot Ball Club's Zé Pedro de Queirós threw himself towards the right post 71 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from German Seme, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Zé Pedro de Queirós made a fantastic save in the 76th minute, when German Seme sent off a good shot on target. Julio Clis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience was convinced that Dorian Siqueira's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Isidoro Vitin was relentless in the 80th minute of the game. Julio Clis blasted a shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Zé Pedro de Queirós having to make a save. Firmat Foot Ball Club's Julio Clis got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Firmat Foot Ball Club's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
