Florencio Jaen came out of the goal in the 7th minute to try and stop a shot by Snorlax FC's Ariano Saldías. But to his dismay, Ariano Saldías quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Snorlax FC's Jose Ferrel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 12th minute of the match, managed to save Snorlax FC from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Club El Progreso's Baldomero Salomon got a free kick in the 16th minute. In the 19th minute, Edelmiro Villar got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Apolo Ramos's late challenge caught a Snorlax FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Apolo Ramos helped the player get up and apologised. In the 32nd minute Snorlax FC were awarded a corner. Madars Uchiha went to the cornerflag to take it. Apolo Ramos took the ball and in the 39 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jose Ferrel. Jose Ferrel dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. With a little luck, Snorlax FC's Jose Ferrel got control of the ball when Apolo Ramos tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 45th match minute, Snorlax FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ariano Saldías to maneuver through the defense. With an all-out effort, Club El Progreso's Jose Ferrel threw himself towards the right post 47 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Humberto Guerau, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The supporters of Club El Progreso booed when Snorlax FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edelmiro Villar didn't get a good kick on the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Humberto Guerau stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Jose Ferrel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Apolo Ramos in the 52nd minute of play. Jose Ferrel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Apolo Ramos, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Through an outstanding action, after 54 minutes, Florencio Jaen successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Florencio Jaen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edelmiro Villar in the 55th minute of the match. 57 minutes had been played when some careless play by Club El Progreso's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Madars Uchiha was slow to take the kick. During this time Snorlax FC's players had a chance to rest. The corner led to Snorlax FC's Manuel Antonio Quevedo getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. 61 minutes into the game, Ariano Saldías cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Florencio Jaen was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A collision led to Snorlax FC getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Edelmiro Villar hit a great ball. Humberto Guerau scored 3-2 in the 71st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jose Ferrel, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Artemio Hegoi in the 76th minute of play forced Snorlax FC's goalkeeper Jose Ferrel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Madars Uchiha hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. Jose Ferrel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Apolo Ramos, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. Jose Ferrel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Humberto Guerau in the 89th minute of play. Jose Ferrel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Humberto Guerau in the 91st minute of the match. Ariano Saldías charged in rather forcefully in the 94th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ariano Saldías the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Ariano Saldías hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. For all the effort they put into the match, the Snorlax FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Club El Progreso.
