The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of Boquenses booed when Los Andes FC - FSCMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Percival Cunha didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 32nd minute Jonas Maties shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christiano Bertassi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 37 minutes of play, Boquenses's Vladimiro Theodore made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Christiano Bertassi was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 41st minute, Amado Crescencio ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Christiano Bertassi was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. In the 46th minute, Yuri Figueiredo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 65th minute, Jonas Maties hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Christiano Bertassi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Amado Crescencio, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. Amado Crescencio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 72nd minute of the match, but Christiano Bertassi made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in Boquenses's zone, Fabrício Arce stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fausto Venceslas came out of the goal and Fabrício Arce tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Los Andes FC - FSCMZ's Zeca Cardoso in the 80th minute got a chance for a shot 80th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Gilvan Sabóia took the ball and in the 89 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Fausto Venceslas. Fausto Venceslas dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-4. The Boquenses supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Boquenses would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
