The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Ulises Fidele charged in rather forcefully in the 2nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ulises Fidele the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 2nd minute, Ulises Fidele hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Bernt Löfskog had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 9 minutes into the match, Tiburcio Basajaun notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Strömsbro IF's Pelle Andreasson. Pelle Andreasson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Ladislao Rius kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. In the 13th minute, Tomás Ermano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alfredo Enekoitz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernt Löfskog in the 14th minute of play. In the 23rd minute Ulises Fidele shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pelle Andreasson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tomás Ermano kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. Club Sportivo Quilmes's Alfredo Enekoitz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ivan Billberg in the 33rd minute of play. 38 minutes into the match, Strömsbro IF's goalkeeper Pelle Andreasson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ulises Fidele. Jens-Ola Norberg kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. 41 minutes into the match, Jeronimo Salvator dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Pelle Andreasson, 3-1. Emanuel Valente received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Pelle Andreasson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.

The wind increased when Ulises Fidele made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Ulises Fidele left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Club Sportivo Quilmes fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-1. Strömsbro IF's Rickard Söder quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Ladislao Rius, made in the 63rd minute of the game. Pelle Andreasson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ulises Fidele in the 64th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Club Sportivo Quilmes's Ladislao Rius got a free kick in the 76th minute. Ivan Billberg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Strömsbro IF's Nils-Åke Telin got a free kick in the 78th minute. Ulises Fidele struck a weak shot in the 79th minute. Pelle Andreasson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Club Sportivo Quilmes. Alfredo Enekoitz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jörn Hermansson in the 86th minute of the match. Alfredo Enekoitz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ivan Billberg in the 93rd minute. Club Sportivo Quilmes were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Strömsbro IF for a fine match.
