With a little luck, FC Wil 1900's Carlos Schneider got control of the ball when Segundo Dimo tried to sneak it across the goal line. After the first half FC Wil 1900 were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

In the 51st minute Eulalio Ovando shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Schneider saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 87 played minutes Kekambas FC got a freekick which was hit by Martin Quintana. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. FC Wil 1900 had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
