After a rather tough play, Red John S.K's Júnior Cosme got a free kick in the 5th minute. The supporters of Mountainhammer United booed when Red John S.K was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paulão Falcão didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 8th minute, Uno Gadd left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mountainhammer United fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Carl Samuelsson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Júnior Cosme's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. Benjamin Braga might have been able to make a better finish in the 20th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Carl Samuelsson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Benjamin Braga ran back to his position shaking his head. The audience was convinced that Reginaldo Donatello's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Carl Samuelsson was relentless in the 21st minute of the game. The crowd rose to their feet as Uno Gadd kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Severino Aguiar. That made the score 2-0 in the 23 minute of play. Júnior Cosme took the ball and in the 28 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Carl Samuelsson. Carl Samuelsson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Adrian Molander hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. In the 32nd minute, Paulo dos Santos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 34th match minute, Red John S.K was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paulo dos Santos to maneuver through the defense. 35 minutes into the match, Mountainhammer United's Börje Ahlstedt broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. A collision led to Red John S.K getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Zé Carlos das Neves hit a great ball. Red John S.K's Severino Aguiar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Uno Gadd in the 40th minute of play. Severino Aguiar was a little too slow when Kristoffer Kråk got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 44th minute. The score was now 3-1. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

In the 52nd minute, Reginaldo Donatello left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Red John S.K fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. Júnior Cosme fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carl Samuelsson having to interfere. 58 minutes into the game, Mountainhammer United's Kristoffer Kråk nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Severino Aguiar made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-2. The Red John S.K fans' excitement grew in the 61st match minute when Red John S.K's Júnior Cosme looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 64 minutes into the match, Mountainhammer United's goalkeeper Carl Samuelsson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sílvio Veiga. The crowd rose to their feet as Red John S.K's Júnior Cosme slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Carl Samuelsson. That made the score 4-4 after 66 minutes of play. After a rather tough play, Red John S.K's Dalmo Passos got a free kick in the 69th minute. Severino Aguiar came out of the goal in the 74th minute to try and stop a shot by Mountainhammer United's Uno Gadd. But to his dismay, Uno Gadd quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-4. With a little luck, Mountainhammer United's Carl Samuelsson got control of the ball when Sílvio Veiga tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Uno Gadd in the 82nd minute of play forced Red John S.K's goalkeeper Severino Aguiar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Reginaldo Donatello got free with Carl Samuelsson in the 88th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Adrian Molander hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. Red John S.K's Paulo dos Santos shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 96th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Carl Samuelsson but with some difficulty. For all the effort they put into the match, the Red John S.K players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Mountainhammer United.
