Spectators: 7705 (Terracing: 5780, Seating: 1772, VIP seats: 153) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Edgard Leirvåg started the match with the kick off. Edgard Leirvåg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 2nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 4th minute Rune Gjessing shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kevin Wallengren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kristian Sandersen kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. 0-1 became the score in the 6th minute when Rune Gjessing elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Edgard Leirvåg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Kevin Wallengren tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 12th minute of the match Snorre Fonn shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Kevin Wallengren showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 15 played minutes Vännäsby BF got a freekick which was hit by Åke Olsson. Kevin Wallengren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rune Gjessing in the 16th minute of the match. After 17 minutes, Edgard Leirvåg mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Åsnes and the Vännäsby BF players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 17th match minute, Åsnes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edgard Leirvåg to maneuver through the defense. After 19 played minutes Vännäsby BF got a freekick which was hit by Marko Lindberg. 24 minutes into the match, Vännäsby BF's goal looked a bit too open when Rune Gjessing came free, but Kevin Wallengren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kevin Wallengren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edgard Leirvåg in the 27th minute of play. 33 minutes into the game, Filiph Ek recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Runar Støen. Filiph Ek showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. Kevin Wallengren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edgard Leirvåg, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Arne Österlund hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. In the 37th minute of the match John-Einar Bøen sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Kevin Wallengren skillfully saved the ball. Folke Skräddare hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. In the 39th minute of the match Kristian Sandersen sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Kevin Wallengren skillfully saved the ball. After a rather tough play, Vännäsby BF's Marko Lindberg got a free kick in the 44th minute. After having played for 44 minutes, Edgard Leirvåg managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Åsnes's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edgard Leirvåg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Arne Österlund was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute Edgard Leirvåg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kevin Wallengren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 53 minutes into the match, Vännäsby BF's goalkeeper Kevin Wallengren had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Edgard Leirvåg. Runar Støen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arne Österlund, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Petter Vartdal charged in rather forcefully in the 56th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Petter Vartdal the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Åsnes's Petter Vartdal got a free kick in the 56th minute. Kevin Wallengren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edgard Leirvåg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kevin Wallengren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edgard Leirvåg, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. In the 64th minute Edgard Leirvåg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kevin Wallengren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 68 minutes into the match, Åsnes's goal looked a bit too open when Leif Askstedt came free, but Runar Støen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 74 minutes into the match, Leif Askstedt notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Åsnes's Runar Støen. Runar Støen was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Edgard Leirvåg in the 79th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kevin Wallengren saved Vännäsby BF from getting behind. The supporters of Åsnes booed when Vännäsby BF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Filiph Ek didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kristian Sandersen took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 84th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Kevin Wallengren. Vännäsby BF's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Edgard Leirvåg got free with Kevin Wallengren in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Kevin Wallengren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edgard Leirvåg in the 86th minute of play. In the 90th minute, Åsnes's Edgard Leirvåg ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Kevin Wallengren. Kevin Wallengren yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-2.
