The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 2nd match minute, Noqueces FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Florentino Velasco to maneuver through the defense. With an all-out effort, Åsnes's Lázaro Chus threw himself towards the right post 3 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Rune Gjessing, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 4 minutes into the game, Alfredo Itzaina was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Noqueces FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Åsnes the free kick. After a rather tough play, Noqueces FC's Alfredo Itzaina got a free kick in the 4th minute. Lázaro Chus showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rune Gjessing in the 11th minute of the match. With a little luck, Noqueces FC's Lázaro Chus got control of the ball when Edgard Leirvåg tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 24 minutes, Rune Gjessing mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Åsnes and the Noqueces FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Åsnes's Rune Gjessing got a free kick in the 24th minute. After 25 played minutes, Noqueces FC's Reynaldo Lluc shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Runar Støen came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Noqueces FC reached it. The supporters of Noqueces FC booed when Åsnes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arnt Honningsvåg didn't get a good kick on the ball. 27 minutes into the game, Noqueces FC's Desiderio Beltza nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Runar Støen made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. In the 30th match minute, Noqueces FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Victorino Cisco to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Åsnes defense, Reynaldo Lluc kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Runar Støen. The Åsnes fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Runar Støen should have stopped the shot. A collision led to Åsnes getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Aleksander Ånestad hit a great ball. Runar Støen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Desiderio Beltza in the 45th minute of play. Noqueces FC were awarded a corner in the 47th minute after Åsnes's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Reynaldo Lluc took the corner. Noqueces FC's Reynaldo Lluc was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Runar Støen in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in.

A collision led to Noqueces FC getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Inocencio Tiadoro hit a great ball. The supporters of Noqueces FC booed when Åsnes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Petter Vartdal didn't get a good kick on the ball. Reynaldo Lluc took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 58th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Runar Støen. Åsnes's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Lázaro Chus showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edgard Leirvåg in the 60th minute of the match. Lázaro Chus showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rune Gjessing, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. Thanks to some nice moves Victorino Cisco could shoot a difficult shot in the 66th minute, which Runar Støen however easily saved by the left post. In the 68th minute, Åsnes's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Victorino Cisco fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. 82 minutes into the match, Noqueces FC's goal looked a bit too open when Petter Vartdal came free, but Lázaro Chus reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 84th minute, Rune Gjessing made a precise shot to the right of Lázaro Chus. Noqueces FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. In the 93rd minute, Rune Gjessing got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
