Spectators: 7688 (Terracing: 5767, Seating: 1768, VIP seats: 153) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Arlindo Teixeira took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 2nd minute Didi Ferreira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thomas Gascon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thomas Gascon came out of the goal in the 9th minute to try and stop a shot by Abutres 2003 FDP's Filipe Moreira. But to his dismay, Filipe Moreira quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Blaise Castera who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 13thth minute tested the skills of Zé Roberto Moreira when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After 17 played minutes Abutres 2003 FDP got a freekick which was hit by Murillo Bittencourt. 19 minutes into the match, Abutres 2003 FDP's goal looked a bit too open when Blaise Castera came free, but Zé Roberto Moreira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 21st minute, Arlindo Teixeira ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Thomas Gascon was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. In the 28th minute there was a penalty for Abutres 2003 FDP. Luiz Nóbrega stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Thomas Gascon. 0-4. Zé Roberto Moreira made an important save on a dangerous shot by Blaise Castera in the 32nd minute. 34 minutes into the match, Abutres 2003 FDP's Didi Ferreira sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Thomas Gascon narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a rather tough play, R.C. Marseille's Fernand Savarit got a free kick in the 35th minute. After having played for 36 minutes, Didi Ferreira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Abutres 2003 FDP's supporters crossed their fingers, but Didi Ferreira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Zé Roberto Moreira made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Gustave Icard sent off a good shot on target. 46 minutes into the game, Blaise Castera was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. R.C. Marseille's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Abutres 2003 FDP the free kick. The supporters of Abutres 2003 FDP booed when R.C. Marseille was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Blaise Castera didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Blaise Castera made a kick off. Thomas Gascon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Didi Ferreira in the 57th minute of play. Abutres 2003 FDP's Zé Roberto Moreira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Blaise Castera in the 59th minute of play. With a little luck, R.C. Marseille's Thomas Gascon got control of the ball when Ronaldão Araújo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Victorien Severe hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. Thomas Gascon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Didi Ferreira in the 63rd minute of the match. Moïse Chauveau hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in R.C. Marseille's zone, Arlindo Teixeira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Thomas Gascon came out of the goal and Arlindo Teixeira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thomas Gascon made a fantastic save in the 76th minute, when Didi Ferreira sent off a good shot on target. Fernand Savarit charged in rather forcefully in the 76th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fernand Savarit the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Abutres 2003 FDP booed when R.C. Marseille was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fernand Savarit didn't get a good kick on the ball. Arlindo Teixeira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, R.C. Marseille's Omar Suchet got a free kick in the 86th minute. In the 89th minute, Ronaldão Araújo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 93 minutes, Omar Suchet mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the R.C. Marseille and the Abutres 2003 FDP players grew even worse after the yellow card. Omar Suchet hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. In the 94th minute Didi Ferreira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thomas Gascon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 95th match minute, R.C. Marseille was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Victorien Severe to maneuver through the defense. The long shot by Luiz Nóbrega in the 96th minute really tested Thomas Gascon's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Abutres 2003 FDP eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
