Marseille's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Beşir Bozok was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. The long shot by Erman Durak in the 8th minute really tested Thomas Gascon's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. 9 minutes into the match, R.C. Marseille's goal looked a bit too open when Beşir Bozok came free, but Thomas Gascon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cyril Bec hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. In the 12th minute of the match Poyraz Suyurgal shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Thomas Gascon showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Omar Suchet was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. If Blaise Castera had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to R.C. Marseille getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Cyril Bec hit a great ball. When Gothic Souls's Beşir Bozok in the 24th minute got a chance for a shot 24th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye R.C. Beşir Bozok could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match, but Thomas Gascon made a huge save. Fernand Savarit hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. After having played for 39 minutes, Omar Suchet managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. R.C. Marseille's supporters crossed their fingers, but Omar Suchet was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. R.C. Marseille's Thomas Gascon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Beşir Bozok in the 41st minute of play. Poyraz Suyurgal could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 45th minute of the match, but Thomas Gascon made a huge save. 47 minutes into the match, Beşir Bozok notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of R.C. Marseille's Thomas Gascon. Thomas Gascon was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Omar Suchet kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. When the match clock showed 62 minutes, the score became 3-0 when Beşir Bozok sped through R.C. Marseille's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Thomas Gascon. Thomas Gascon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Beşir Bozok, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. The audience was convinced that Beşir Bozok's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Thomas Gascon was relentless in the 73rd minute of the game. 82 minutes into the game, Gothic Souls's Poyraz Suyurgal nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marseille fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Thomas Gascon should have stopped the shot. Despite close surveillance by the defense, Omar Suchet managed to send off a shot that put the ball into the goal to the left of a disappointed goalkeeper. 5-1 in the 98th minute. Gothic Souls's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
