Spectators: 7713 (Terracing: 5786, Seating: 1774, VIP seats: 153) Jarana FC's Rolando Todor started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Olov Bock in the 3rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gervasio Oier prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In a very dangerous position, a player in Linköpings AIK fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 5th minute. Penalty! When the match had been going on for 7 minutes, Jarana FC's Pastor Caitano got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Kjell Billvall. After 11 played minutes Linköpings AIK got a freekick which was hit by Torleif Torstensson. Jarana FC's Rolando Todor got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 15 minutes, Serafin Menendo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Jarana FC and the Linköpings AIK players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 15th minute, one of Jarana FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Jarana FC. If Bengt-Åke Thidén had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The supporters of Linköpings AIK booed when Jarana FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Honorio Seguinus didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pastor Caitano hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. A collision led to Linköpings AIK getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Olov Bock hit a great ball. In the 45th minute, Robert Jansson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 46th minute, Pastor Caitano sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Linköpings AIK's Kjell Billvall didn't even have to move. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rickard Hedlund to make the kick off. Petter Billberg kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. When Alejandro Hanot came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Jarana FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alejandro Hanot couldn't finish the play. In the 60th minute, Rolando Todor ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Kjell Billvall was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. In the 70th minute of the match Pastor Caitano sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Kjell Billvall skillfully saved the ball. A collision led to Linköpings AIK getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Olov Bock hit a great ball. After 74 played minutes Jarana FC got a freekick which was hit by Pastor Caitano. Victorino Fagildo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Kjell Billvall tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rolando Todor in the 78th minute of play forced Linköpings AIK's goalkeeper Kjell Billvall to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jarana FC's Pastor Caitano got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Kjell Billvall took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rolando Todor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pastor Caitano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Kjell Billvall tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
