Estevão Igrejas hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Reinaert De Coster took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from João Vilas Boas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Estevão Igrejas in the 35th minute of play forced KFC Vliegplein's goalkeeper Reinaert De Coster to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Caio Ponte lost his temper 41 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After 41 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Minho FC! When the match had been going on for 43 minutes, KFC Vliegplein's Frederic Verduijn got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Egídio Loureiro. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ramiro Fernandes to make the kick off. Egídio Loureiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frederic Verduijn in the 55th minute of play. Ramiro Fernandes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Reinaert De Coster having to interfere. If Ramiro Fernandes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Reinaert De Coster was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but David Bulhosa showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-1 in the 62 minute of play. 64 minutes into the match, KFC Vliegplein's goalkeeper Reinaert De Coster had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by David Bulhosa. A collision led to KFC Vliegplein getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Henry Van Arschot hit a great ball. The long shot by João Vilas Boas in the 69th minute really tested Reinaert De Coster's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. With a little luck, KFC Vliegplein's Reinaert De Coster got control of the ball when Ramiro Fernandes tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ramiro Fernandes got free with Reinaert De Coster in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Minho FC's Ramiro Fernandes got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
