Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell João Vilas Boas to make the kick off. In the 52nd match minute, Boulogne del Ciclón was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cipriano Bras to maneuver through the defense. Ramiro Fernandes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Ovidio Lamberto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Samuel Medina hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Feliciano Leoncio in the 90th minute of play forced Minho FC's goalkeeper Egídio Loureiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Maurício Peseiro fell near the penalty area in the 91st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Minho FC's protests and gave Maurício Peseiro a yellow card for diving instead. Minho FC's Egídio Loureiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Feliciano Leoncio in the 93rd minute of play. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
