The audience thought a goal was coming when Frederic Verduijn got free with Arlindo Romero in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iuri Arruda in the 24th minute of play forced KFC Vliegplein's goalkeeper Reinaert De Coster to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Alberto Tróia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cederic Wyns could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 31st minute of the match, but Arlindo Romero made a huge save. A collision led to KFC Vliegplein getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Thys Helsen hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in KFC Vliegplein's zone, Renato Pena stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Reinaert De Coster came out of the goal and Renato Pena tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Frederic Verduijn stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 50 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for KFC Vliegplein! KFC Vliegplein:s Reinaert De Coster showed great skill when he stopped José Paulo Almeida:s penalty. Arlindo Romero showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Thys Helsen, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. The supporters of ATHLETICO PRaiano booed when KFC Vliegplein was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Geoffrey Sterckmans didn't get a good kick on the ball. 67 minutes into the match, ATHLETICO PRaiano's goal looked a bit too open when Kasper Steurms came free, but Arlindo Romero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 68 minutes into the match, Frederic Verduijn had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Arlindo Romero. In the 83rd minute the ball was on its way in behind KFC Vliegplein's goalkeeper Reinaert De Coster, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. During the 84th minute of the match Lou Vincke completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Lou Vincke a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Renato Pena in the 85th minute of play forced KFC Vliegplein's goalkeeper Reinaert De Coster to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Reinaert De Coster took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberto Tróia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thys Helsen's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Arlindo Romero read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 93rd minute of play. Kasper Steurms struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Arlindo Romero didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for KFC Vliegplein. KFC Vliegplein were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing ATHLETICO PRaiano to leave the ground with a draw.
