Orlin Aguilar started the match with the kick off. João Vilas Boas was extremely unlucky when he, in the 2nd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. In the 5th minute, Minho FC's Xavier Lamego ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Celedonio Rasa. Celedonio Rasa yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. FERRABARCA FC's Celedonio Rasa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 8th minute of the match, managed to save FERRABARCA FC from getting a goal against them. 10 minutes into the game, João Vilas Boas was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Minho FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FERRABARCA FC the free kick. A collision led to Minho FC getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. João Vilas Boas hit a great ball. In the 14th match minute, FERRABARCA FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sandalio Masdeu to maneuver through the defense. In the 15th minute, Ramiro Fernandes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 19th minute João Vilas Boas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Celedonio Rasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Celedonio Rasa made a fantastic save in the 20th minute, when Marco Varela sent off a good shot on target. After 23 minutes of play, Minho FC's Marco Varela made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Celedonio Rasa was left in no man's land by his defense there! FERRABARCA FC's Celedonio Rasa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save FERRABARCA FC from getting a goal against them. After 32 played minutes Minho FC got a freekick which was hit by Durval Guterres. The supporters of Minho FC booed when FERRABARCA FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Orlin Aguilar didn't get a good kick on the ball. Celedonio Rasa was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Maurício Peseiro showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-0 in the 37 minute of play. A collision led to Minho FC getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. David Bulhosa hit a great ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

Celedonio Rasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maurício Peseiro in the 53rd minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rainerio Colunga during the 61st minute. After having played for 80 minutes, Ramiro Fernandes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Minho FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ramiro Fernandes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Celedonio Rasa came out of the goal in the 81st minute to try and stop a shot by Minho FC's Marco Varela. But to his dismay, Marco Varela quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 7-0. 84 minutes into the match, FERRABARCA FC's goal looked a bit too open when Xavier Lamego came free, but Celedonio Rasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Sandalio Masdeu fell near the penalty area in the 85th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FERRABARCA FC's protests and gave Sandalio Masdeu a yellow card for diving instead. Sandalio Masdeu hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. 89 minutes into the match, Maurício Peseiro notched a goal, 8-0, to the right of FERRABARCA FC's Celedonio Rasa. Celedonio Rasa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. There was no doubt that Minho FC were the better team. Minho FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
