After a defensive mix-up in Izaltina FAD's zone, Mădălin Vintilescu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Diego Valladares came out of the goal and Mădălin Vintilescu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 17th match minute, Izaltina FAD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ricardinho Arantes to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Izaltina FAD getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Rodriguinho Gonçalves hit a great ball. In the 27th minute Leandro Alagoano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcel Noica saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rodriguinho Gonçalves made in the 29th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Duda de Sousa immediately put the ball in play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Osmar Donato in the 32nd minute of play forced Fc S.Zaharesti's goalkeeper Marcel Noica to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 35 minutes into the match, Izaltina FAD's goal looked a bit too open when Mădălin Vintilescu came free, but Diego Valladares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Osmar Donato managed to get in a good position for a shot. Izaltina FAD's supporters rose to their feet, but Osmar Donato was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marcel Noica breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Duda de Sousa came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Izaltina FAD fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Duda de Sousa couldn't finish the play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Izaltina FAD made a substitution. Luiz Alcântara replaced Rodriguinho Gonçalves. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mădălin Vintilescu made a kick off. Osmar Donato fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcel Noica having to interfere. Ricardinho Arantes hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. 64 minutes into the match, Izaltina FAD's goalkeeper Diego Valladares had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Viorel Lelescu. After a rather tough play, Fc S.Zaharesti's Gelu Curuțiu got a free kick in the 82nd minute. Ricardinho Arantes hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. Dan Potoroacă's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Diego Valladares read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 87th minute of play.
