Seating: 1768, VIP seats: 153) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Grigore Pacurar started the match with the kick off. In the 3rd match minute, Sporting Royal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gigi Bîlbă to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Rasnita booed when Sporting Royal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gigi Bîlbă didn't get a good kick on the ball. 6 minutes into the match, Grigore Pacurar notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Rasnita's Șerban Iacobeanu. Șerban Iacobeanu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Șerban Iacobeanu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Grigore Pacurar, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. Șerban Iacobeanu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Grigore Pacurar in the 13th minute of the match. Panait Emilianu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sever Apostol in the 14th minute. Șerban Iacobeanu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Grigore Pacurar, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. After 40 played minutes Rasnita got a freekick which was hit by Gelu Tăzlăuanu. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ernest Mihăileanu in the 43rd minute of play forced Rasnita's goalkeeper Șerban Iacobeanu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gelu Tăzlăuanu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Grigore Pacurar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Șerban Iacobeanu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Șerban Iacobeanu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ernest Brănescu in the 54th minute of play. After 55 played minutes Rasnita got a freekick which was hit by Silviu Hârlab. Sporting Royal's Toader Chirnoagă was substituted for Gigi Bîlbă. The audience thought a goal was coming when Grigore Pacurar got free with Șerban Iacobeanu in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 65 played minutes, Rasnita's Ernest Gâfu shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Panait Emilianu came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Rasnita reached it. A collision led to Rasnita getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Dacian Doman hit a great ball. When Iustin Stolnicu came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the Sporting Royal fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Iustin Stolnicu couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Sporting Royal getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Isac Flamaropol hit a great ball. After some careless play in the Rasnita defense, Iustin Stolnicu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Șerban Iacobeanu. The Rasnita fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Șerban Iacobeanu should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Grigore Pacurar in the 76th minute of play forced Rasnita's goalkeeper Șerban Iacobeanu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 82 minutes, Aurelian Siadbei mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Rasnita and the Sporting Royal players grew even worse after the yellow card. Aurelian Siadbei hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. Costin Băcioiu, 82 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. A collision led to Rasnita getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Aurelian Siadbei hit a great ball. 85 minutes into the match, Sporting Royal's Costin Băcioiu broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 91st minute, Iustin Stolnicu made a precise shot to the right of Șerban Iacobeanu. Rasnita's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-6. When the final whistle sounded Sporting Royal left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Rasnita.
