Spectators: 7750 (Terracing: 5817, Seating: 1783, VIP seats: 150) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Heimko Schober kicked off to start the match. Cornel Moisil hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. Marcel Noica didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Heimko Schober went, in the 5th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Mădălin Vintilescu charged in rather forcefully in the 7th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mădălin Vintilescu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 7 played minutes Fc S.Zaharesti got a freekick which was hit by Mădălin Vintilescu. If Bruce Pesch had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 19 played minutes SC Freiburg 1904 e.V. got a freekick which was hit by David Pieth. 22 minutes into the match, Fc S.Zaharesti's goal looked a bit too open when Bruce Pesch came free, but Marcel Noica reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Alessio Schirp managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Alessio Schirp was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marcel Noica breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Marcel Noica took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bruce Pesch, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sönke Odenwälder showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mădălin Vintilescu in the 29th minute of the match. In the 31st minute, Batho König made a precise shot to the right of Marcel Noica. Fc S.Zaharesti's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mădălin Vintilescu got free with Sönke Odenwälder in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 47th minute Mădălin Vintilescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sönke Odenwälder saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Fc S.Zaharesti players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. SC Freiburg 1904 e.V. were winning 0-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mădălin Vintilescu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When the match had gone on for 52 minutes, Bruce Pesch took a quick shot and it went in 0-3 without a chance for Marcel Noica to make any attempt to save it. In the 55th match minute, SC Freiburg 1904 e.V. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Batho König to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Niculae Stere in the 58th minute of play forced SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s goalkeeper Sönke Odenwälder to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Bruce Pesch's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marcel Noica was relentless in the 65th minute of the game. Marcel Noica acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 67th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Maximilian Stößlein. Erich Kellner kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. After 72 played minutes Fc S.Zaharesti got a freekick which was hit by Nicu Şandru. 73 minutes into the match, Fc S.Zaharesti's goalkeeper Marcel Noica had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bruce Pesch. The crowd rose to their feet as Bruce Pesch kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Marcel Noica. That made the score 0-4 in the 76 minute of play. Sönke Odenwälder made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marius Encioiu in the 89th minute of play. With a little luck, Fc S.Zaharesti's Marcel Noica got control of the ball when Bruce Pesch tried to sneak it across the goal line. During the 94th minute of the match Viorel Lelescu completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Viorel Lelescu a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After a rather tough play, Fc S.Zaharesti's Viorel Lelescu got a free kick in the 95th minute. SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
