Seating: 1769, VIP seats: 153) Rasnita's defense didn't have a chance, in the 3rd minute, when Dragoş Sălcudeanu scored to the left of an out of position Șerban Iacobeanu, making the score, 1-0. After having played for 8 minutes, Leonard Chirculescu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rasnita's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leonard Chirculescu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some careless play in the Emerald defense, Gelu Tăzlăuanu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Damian Vieru. The Emerald fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Damian Vieru should have stopped the shot. 10 minutes into the match, Cristian Guguianu notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Rasnita's Șerban Iacobeanu. Șerban Iacobeanu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 13 played minutes Rasnita got a freekick which was hit by Pavel Alucusan. After a defensive mix-up in Rasnita's zone, Nichifor Onișoru stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Șerban Iacobeanu came out of the goal and Nichifor Onișoru tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Rasnita getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Pavel Alucusan hit a great ball. Cristian Guguianu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but Șerban Iacobeanu made a huge save. Dragoş Sălcudeanu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Damian Vieru took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gelu Tăzlăuanu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 24 minutes into the game, Gelu Tăzlăuanu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Damian Vieru was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Rasnita's Gelu Tăzlăuanu got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 28 minutes into the match, Gelu Tăzlăuanu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Damian Vieru. Emerald's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gelu Tăzlăuanu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leonard Chirculescu in the 31st minute of play forced Emerald's goalkeeper Damian Vieru to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 32 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Emerald! Rasnita's Șerban Iacobeanu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 38th minute of the match, managed to save Rasnita from getting a goal against them. After 47 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Rasnita! Rasnita:s Șerban Iacobeanu showed great skill when he stopped Costin Frânculescu:s penalty. After 48 minutes of play, Emerald's Costin Frânculescu made it 3-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Șerban Iacobeanu was left in no man's land by his defense there! Emerald's Francisc Găină was substituted for Eusebiu Zăvoiu. The Emerald players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Rasnita were winning 3-4.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Victor Angheluș to strike the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Rasnita's Aurelian Siadbei got a free kick in the 55th minute. In the 58th match minute, Emerald was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Victor Angheluș to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Emerald booed when Rasnita was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gavril Manea didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Victor Angheluș in the 62nd minute of play forced Rasnita's goalkeeper Șerban Iacobeanu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Rasnita getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Leonard Chirculescu hit a great ball. When Aurelian Siadbei fell near the penalty area in the 67th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rasnita's protests and gave Aurelian Siadbei a yellow card for diving instead. After 68 played minutes Rasnita got a freekick which was hit by Nichifor Nițescu. Costin Frânculescu took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 69th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Șerban Iacobeanu. Rasnita's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Costin Frânculescu kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. In the 77th match minute, Emerald was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mugurel Tudose to maneuver through the defense. Mugurel Tudose lost his temper 80 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. The supporters of Rasnita booed when Emerald was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mugurel Tudose didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Rasnita's Nistor Galiceanu got a free kick in the 86th minute. After 92 minutes of play, Rasnita's Gavril Manea made it 3-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Damian Vieru was left in no man's land by his defense there! The supporters of Rasnita booed when Emerald was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nichifor Onișoru didn't get a good kick on the ball. Through an outstanding action, after 96 minutes, Damian Vieru successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Rasnita eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
