The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 2nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Izaltina FAD's goalkeeper Diego Valladares, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 7 minutes into the match, Izaltina FAD's goal looked a bit too open when Gelu Tăzlăuanu came free, but Diego Valladares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 17 minutes into the match, Rasnita's goal looked a bit too open when Duda de Sousa came free, but Șerban Iacobeanu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 18 minutes of play, Izaltina FAD's Cristóvão Paranaense made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Șerban Iacobeanu was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 20th minute, Gavril Manea hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Șerban Iacobeanu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Duda de Sousa in the 21st minute of the match. 31 minutes into the match, Osmar Donato had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Șerban Iacobeanu. Rasnita's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Osmar Donato was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-5. Diego Valladares made an important save on a dangerous shot by Leonard Chirculescu in the 37th minute. Șerban Iacobeanu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Osmar Donato, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Osmar Donato fell near the penalty area in the 41st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Izaltina FAD's protests and gave Osmar Donato a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Rasnita booed when Izaltina FAD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Osmar Donato didn't get a good kick on the ball. Șerban Iacobeanu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristóvão Paranaense in the 44th minute of play. After the first half Izaltina FAD were leading 0-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Gelu Tăzlăuanu made the kick off in the second half. Rasnita were furious when Dacian Doman was red carded, 53 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 52nd minute, one of Rasnita:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Rasnita. 0-6 came through a penalty shot after 54 played minutes, when Izaltina FAD:s Duda de Sousa calmly waited for Rasnita:s goalkeeper to move before he rolled in the ball by the right post. Șerban Iacobeanu made a fantastic save in the 64th minute, when Duda de Sousa sent off a good shot on target. Ernest Gâfu kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. In the 65th minute, Ernest Gâfu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Rasnita's Ernest Gâfu got a free kick in the 68th minute. Șerban Iacobeanu was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 69th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Emerson Cabral. Șerban Iacobeanu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Osmar Donato, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Duda de Sousa struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Șerban Iacobeanu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Izaltina FAD. Izaltina FAD made a substitution. Leandro Alagoano replaced Duda de Sousa. After some careless play in the Rasnita defense, Osmar Donato kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Șerban Iacobeanu. The Rasnita fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Șerban Iacobeanu should have stopped the shot. 85 minutes into the game, Izaltina FAD's Leandro Alagoano nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Șerban Iacobeanu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-8. After a rather tough play, Izaltina FAD's Cristóvão Paranaense got a free kick in the 89th minute. Gavril Manea's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Diego Valladares read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 90th minute of play. Izaltina FAD's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
