Jurand Marosz didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 16 minutes, Bruce Pesch managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Bruce Pesch was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Teofil Pietrowski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Heimko Schober in the 18th minute of play. After having played for 19 minutes, Bruce Pesch managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Teofil Wawro during the 27th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Wariatów Kupa's Teofil Wawro got a free kick in the 27th minute. In the 29thth minute of the game Heimko Schober who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Wariatów Kupa's Teofil Pietrowski was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Sönke Odenwälder was out of position in the 30 minute of play, and Jurand Marosz capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Jurand Marosz really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jurand Marosz got free with Sönke Odenwälder in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Teofil Pietrowski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Heimko Schober, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. In the 45th minute Bruce Pesch shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Teofil Pietrowski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Roger Dohmen's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Teofil Pietrowski was relentless in the 47th minute of the game. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Heimko Schober made a kick off. In the 51st minute Jurand Marosz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sönke Odenwälder saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 54 minutes into the game, Wariatów Kupa's Jurand Marosz nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sönke Odenwälder made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Batho König in the 58th minute of play forced Wariatów Kupa's goalkeeper Teofil Pietrowski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Batho König in the 61st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Teofil Pietrowski saved Wariatów Kupa from getting behind. Batho König received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Teofil Pietrowski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Wariatów Kupa's defense didn't have a chance, in the 70th minute, when Roger Dohmen scored to the left of an out of position Teofil Pietrowski, making the score, 2-2. The crowd rose to their feet as Heimko Schober kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Teofil Pietrowski. That made the score 2-3 in the 75 minute of play. Heimko Schober sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sönke Odenwälder made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Patryk Bartelak in the 81st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Milosz Mierzwa in the 84th minute of play forced SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s goalkeeper Sönke Odenwälder to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 86 minutes into the game, SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s Bruce Pesch nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Teofil Pietrowski made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-4. If Patrick Osterhagen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute.
