SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Raining Blood the free kick. Waldir Santos was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 3rd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. With a little luck, SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s Sönke Odenwälder got control of the ball when Gualter Secco tried to sneak it across the goal line. Albertinho Mattos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roger Dohmen in the 8th minute of the match. Laércio Capixaba charged in rather forcefully in the 13th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Laércio Capixaba the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 13 played minutes Raining Blood got a freekick which was hit by Laércio Capixaba. Albertinho Mattos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Heimko Schober, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 18 minutes into the game, Luís Eduardo Leão recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Sönke Odenwälder. Luís Eduardo Leão showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Albertinho Mattos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bruce Pesch in the 23rd minute of the match. Albertinho Mattos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bruce Pesch in the 23rd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Dé Mangueira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Raining Blood's supporters rose to their feet, but Dé Mangueira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sönke Odenwälder breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 33rdth minute of the game Bruce Pesch who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Raining Blood's Albertinho Mattos was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Albertinho Mattos came out of the goal in the 35th minute to try and stop a shot by SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s Heimko Schober. But to his dismay, Heimko Schober quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Sönke Odenwälder made a fantastic save in the 39th minute, when Gualter Secco sent off a good shot on target. Heimko Schober sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Albertinho Mattos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bruce Pesch's shot from short distance in the 43rd minute. After some careless play in the Raining Blood defense, Heimko Schober kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Albertinho Mattos. The Raining Blood fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Albertinho Mattos should have stopped the shot. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Heimko Schober to make the kick off. Raining Blood's Albertinho Mattos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 52nd minute of the match, managed to save Raining Blood from getting a goal against them. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Batho König in the 56th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Albertinho Mattos prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Waldir Santos during the 56th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of SC Freiburg 1904 e.V. booed when Raining Blood was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Waldir Santos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Raining Blood made a substitution. Remo Magalhães replaced Matheus Mesquita. In the 58th minute, Waldir Santos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Roger Dohmen's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Albertinho Mattos read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 59th minute of play. The supporters of Raining Blood booed when SC Freiburg 1904 e.V. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ture Nadolski didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sönke Odenwälder took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Remo Magalhães, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 70 minutes into the match, Raining Blood's goalkeeper Albertinho Mattos had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bruce Pesch. In the 73rd minute Waldir Santos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sönke Odenwälder saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Albertinho Mattos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Heimko Schober, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. A collision led to Raining Blood getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Gil Figueiredo hit a great ball. Laércio Andrade hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. In the 86th minute of the match Maximilian Stößlein sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Albertinho Mattos skillfully saved the ball. After a rather tough play, SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s Batho König got a free kick in the 87th minute. Albertinho Mattos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roger Dohmen in the 91st minute of play. 94 minutes into the match, SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s goal looked a bit too open when Remo Magalhães came free, but Sönke Odenwälder reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
