A collision led to Izaltina FAD getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Ricardinho Arantes hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dragoş Sălcudeanu in the 7th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Diego Valladares saved Izaltina FAD from getting behind. Izaltina FAD's Diego Valladares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nichifor Onișoru in the 14th minute of play. Duda de Sousa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Damian Vieru made a huge save. After some careless play in the Izaltina FAD defense, Cristian Guguianu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Diego Valladares. The Izaltina FAD fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Diego Valladares should have stopped the shot. After 19 played minutes Izaltina FAD got a freekick which was hit by Osmar Donato. In the 27th minute Cristian Guguianu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Diego Valladares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Diego Valladares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Guguianu in the 31st minute of play. Diego Valladares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cazimir Udubaşa in the 33rd minute of the match. Mugurel Tudose hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Emerald's Mugurel Tudose got a free kick in the 38th minute. Osmar Donato could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but Damian Vieru made a huge save.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Osmar Donato was the one to do the kick off. It was joyful for the audience to see Dragoş Sălcudeanu dribbling past the opponents defense line in the 55th played minute and put the ball into the net. 0-2. The supporters of Emerald booed when Izaltina FAD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. José Paulo Recife didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 60th minute, Dragoş Sălcudeanu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Emerald fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Osmar Donato fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Damian Vieru having to interfere. Damian Vieru showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Osmar Donato, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. If Cristian Guguianu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Osmar Donato received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Damian Vieru tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Izaltina FAD's Leandro Alagoano was substituted for Duda de Sousa. Nichifor Onișoru's late challenge caught a Izaltina FAD's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nichifor Onișoru helped the player get up and apologised. Dragoş Sălcudeanu scored 0-4 in the 81st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Diego Valladares, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 94th minute, Cristóvão Paranaense ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Damian Vieru was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-4. Emerald's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
