Spectators: 7696 (Terracing: 5773, Seating: 1770, VIP seats: 153) Nichifor Onișoru recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 7th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 12th minute, Nichifor Onișoru left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Emerald fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Damian Vieru took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Viorel Lelescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sorin Jitaru hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Fc S.Zaharesti's Mădălin Vintilescu got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 25th minute, Cristian Guguianu made a precise shot to the right of Marcel Noica. Fc S.Zaharesti's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. 28 minutes into the match, Fc S.Zaharesti's goalkeeper Marcel Noica had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cristian Guguianu. Cristian Guguianu scored 3-0 in the 30th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marcel Noica, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Marcel Noica showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Guguianu, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Costin Frânculescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcel Noica having to interfere. The supporters of Fc S.Zaharesti booed when Emerald was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Costin Frânculescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mugur Cucerdean sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 47th minute, Nichifor Onișoru reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Marcel Noica. The goal made the score 5-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mădălin Vintilescu to make the kick off. 58 minutes into the match, Fc S.Zaharesti's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Guguianu came free, but Marcel Noica reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nichifor Onișoru took the ball and in the 65 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Marcel Noica. Marcel Noica dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-0. 71 minutes into the match, Emerald's goal looked a bit too open when Mugur Cucerdean came free, but Damian Vieru reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marcel Noica showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Guguianu, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. Nichifor Onișoru scored 7-0 in the 77th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marcel Noica, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 82nd minute, Nichifor Onișoru ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marcel Noica was frozen by the shot and now it was 8-0. Mugur Cucerdean's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Damian Vieru read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 85th minute of play. After some careless play in the Fc S.Zaharesti defense, Cristian Guguianu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marcel Noica. The Fc S.Zaharesti fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marcel Noica should have stopped the shot. When Costin Frânculescu came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Emerald fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Costin Frânculescu couldn't finish the play. There was no doubt that Emerald were the better team. Emerald's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
