The Despidida AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. With a little luck, Despidida AFC's Nereo Nevada got control of the ball when Neymar Santos tried to sneak it across the goal line. 9 minutes into the match, Ulises Hotz had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Juan Azevedo. Nova Erechim - FSCMZ's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ulises Hotz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. 15 minutes into the match, Despidida AFC's goalkeeper Nereo Nevada had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Neymar Santos. When Gilberto Bitxintxo fell near the penalty area in the 16th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Despidida AFC's protests and gave Gilberto Bitxintxo a yellow card for diving instead. Gilberto Bitxintxo kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. Juan Azevedo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ulises Hotz, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. 21 minutes into the match, Ulises Hotz had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Juan Azevedo. Nova Erechim - FSCMZ's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ulises Hotz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. After a defensive mix-up in Despidida AFC's zone, Benjamim Vargas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nereo Nevada came out of the goal and Benjamim Vargas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 35 minutes, Jonas Silva mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Nova Erechim - FSCMZ and the Despidida AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 35th match minute, Nova Erechim - FSCMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jonas Silva to maneuver through the defense. Nova Erechim - FSCMZ's Juan Azevedo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ulises Hotz in the 37th minute of play. 38 minutes into the match, Despidida AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Neymar Santos came free, but Nereo Nevada reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jonas Silva struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Nereo Nevada didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Nova Erechim - FSCMZ.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Neymar Santos to make the kick off. After a rather tough play, Nova Erechim - FSCMZ's Hílton Guedes got a free kick in the 53rd minute. A collision led to Despidida AFC getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Ulises Hotz hit a great ball. After 59 played minutes Nova Erechim - FSCMZ got a freekick which was hit by Jonas Silva. The supporters of Despidida AFC booed when Nova Erechim - FSCMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Murillo Chaves didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match clock showed 63 minutes, the score became 1-3 when Jonas Silva sped through Despidida AFC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Nereo Nevada. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gilberto Bitxintxo in the 68th minute of play forced Nova Erechim - FSCMZ's goalkeeper Juan Azevedo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 75th minute Neymar Santos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nereo Nevada saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hílton Guedes's late challenge caught a Despidida AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hílton Guedes helped the player get up and apologised. Hílton Guedes kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. In the 80th minute, Ulises Hotz made a precise shot to the right of Juan Azevedo. Nova Erechim - FSCMZ's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-4. The supporters of Nova Erechim - FSCMZ booed when Despidida AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ulises Hotz didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 86th minute, Celso Vieira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nereo Nevada came out of the goal in the 90th minute to try and stop a shot by Nova Erechim - FSCMZ's Neymar Santos. But to his dismay, Neymar Santos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-4. In the 92nd minute, Tiago Gabriel Peres hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience was convinced that Ulises Hotz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Juan Azevedo was relentless in the 94th minute of the game. Nereo Nevada made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Neymar Santos in the 97th minute of play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Despidida AFC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
