Spectators: 7683 (Terracing: 5763, Seating: 1767, VIP seats: 153) Christian Meys started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. After a defensive mix-up in Brugge United's zone, Dave Berardini stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rudy Panhuijsen came out of the goal and Dave Berardini tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Brugge United's Rudy Panhuijsen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eraldo Giammaria in the 16th minute of play. When Janes Goons fell near the penalty area in the 16th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Brugge United's protests and gave Janes Goons a yellow card for diving instead. Janes Goons kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. 17 minutes into the match, Eraldo Giammaria notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Brugge United's Rudy Panhuijsen. Rudy Panhuijsen was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 23 minutes into the match, Seggiano's Dave Berardini sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rudy Panhuijsen narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Antonio Di Gennaro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lennert Van Meerbeec in the 26th minute of the match. Brugge United were awarded a corner in the 48th minute after Seggiano's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Dries Dirckx took the corner. After the first half Seggiano were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

He was immediately shown a red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 69th minute of the game.
