Lennert Van Meerbeec sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 16th minute Christian Meys shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nae Fundătoreanu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Brugge United defense, Ivan Brașoveanu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rudy Panhuijsen. The Brugge United fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rudy Panhuijsen should have stopped the shot. Christian Meys recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, FC MeHigh's Silviu Săraru got a free kick in the 20th minute. 25 minutes into the match, Jochen Diericx had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nae Fundătoreanu. FC MeHigh's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jochen Diericx was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arnold Wyns in the 29th minute of play forced FC MeHigh's goalkeeper Nae Fundătoreanu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of FC MeHigh booed when Brugge United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Janes Goons didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 35th minute, Cristian Macaneață left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC MeHigh fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Lennert Van Meerbeec charged in rather forcefully in the 39th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lennert Van Meerbeec the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Lennert Van Meerbeec hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. FC MeHigh's Nae Fundătoreanu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Christian Meys in the 48th minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cristian Macaneață was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute Cristian Macaneață shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rudy Panhuijsen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rudy Panhuijsen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Macaneață, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. After 70 minutes, Viorel Hrean mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC MeHigh and the Brugge United players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 83 minutes of play, FC MeHigh's Cătălin Ponta made it 4-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rudy Panhuijsen was left in no man's land by his defense there! FC MeHigh's Nae Fundătoreanu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 87th minute of the match, managed to save FC MeHigh from getting a goal against them. The supporters of FC MeHigh booed when Brugge United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tjorven Jaddon didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 90 played minutes Brugge United got a freekick which was hit by Nicolaas Deschrijver. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Viorel Hrean managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC MeHigh's supporters rose to their feet, but Viorel Hrean was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rudy Panhuijsen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Brugge United getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Tjorven Jaddon hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Traian Onaca managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC MeHigh's supporters rose to their feet, but Traian Onaca was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rudy Panhuijsen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. For all the effort they put into the match, the Brugge United players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for FC MeHigh.
