The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Conrado Iigo hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. Ismael Cordarrell took the ball and in the 8 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Chiquinho Porto. Chiquinho Porto dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. 13 minutes into the game, Róbson Bittencourt cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Marciano Videl was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Matías Botelho scored 2-2 in the 23rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marciano Videl, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Marciano Videl took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gernando Bittencourt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marciano Videl came out of the goal in the 36th minute to try and stop a shot by Vila Industrial FC's Tiaguinho Cunha. But to his dismay, Tiaguinho Cunha quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2. Vinícius Nunes hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. Marciano Videl was out of position in the 44 minute of play, and Gernando Bittencourt capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Gernando Bittencourt really showed his touch with that goal: 4-2. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-2 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Luisito Muc to strike the kick off in the second half. Marciano Videl stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Matías Botelho's shot from short distance in the 53rd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ulises Acosta got free with Chiquinho Porto in the 60th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Vila Industrial FC booed when Justicialista FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Celestino Gartzi didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Justicialista FC defense, Róbson Bittencourt kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marciano Videl. The Justicialista FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marciano Videl should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, Vila Industrial FC's Matías Botelho got a free kick in the 70th minute. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 73rd minute of the game. One of Vila Industrial FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Justicialista FC:s goal. The goalkeeper, Chiquinho Porto, was totally fooled by Justicialista FC's Honorato Lobo, who 75 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. After a rather tough play, Vila Industrial FC's Evaristo Catarinense got a free kick in the 95th minute. Justicialista FC's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Vila Industrial FC had won, even though Justicialista FC had held more of the ball.
